A dress weighing 110lbs, made from 500ft of tubing, 1,200ft of fabric, and at least 50,000 hand-sewn crystals, has made history on My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding.

On the season four premiere of the hit TLC show, dress designer Sondra Celli creates the biggest, fattest wedding dress the show has ever seen, after twenty-five-year-old Greek gypsy Tatiana requested the 'biggest, blingiest dress' possible.

'We have been asked to make a dress that is gonna break the 100lbs barrier. This is, like, a major construction job,' she said in a preview clip for the show.

It took the help of Ms Celli's entire staff (19 people) and over three weeks of hard work to complete the dress, which has a retail value of $40,000.

'It fills up my office,' she told The Boston Herald. 'And it is so heavy, I had [Tatiana] practicing with weights so she would be able to hold it up.'

It was so heavy, in fact, that they couldn't even get the dress out of Ms Celli's workshop. Eventually, the designer altered the gown's hoop so it could expand and contract.

'I had to build this huge frame,' said Ms Celli.

'They had to get a drone camera to take aerial shots in order to get it all, the dress is so big.'

A 5ft flatbed semi truck with a police motorcade was then called to transport the dress to Tatiana's wedding venue.
